Humble Pie: A Series on Being Humble

What does God say about humility?

To “eat humble pie” is an English idiom that means to admit one’s mistake, which requires us to swallow our pride and choose instead, to be humble. Being humble is not always easy, but it is something that pleases God and an attitude that God favours.

Kids may have heard what being humble is and have seen it in action. However, through this series, we will explore what God and the Bible says about humility and how true humility starts with knowing who God is. From there, we hope that kids will understand that being humble is not just an outward behaviour that does not show pride, but is an inward attitude that knows who God is. When we know and recognise who God is, it helps us to have a better understanding of who we are and how we can truly love God and the people around us. This series aims for the children to catch the spirit and attitude of being humble, and from there be inspired to bring that to their everyday lives!

Series Aim: To help kids know what the Bible says about being humble and know that God favours those who are humble.
