Cheerful Giver

Kids may sometimes give little bits of change to give to God and the church… but what exactly is giving to God about? Why do people give money to the church and what is its significance? As we get ready to bring tithe, offering and thanksgiving back to our HopeKids service, this series seeks to help the kids understand what is giving, why we give and how we give or even tithe to God and His church.

Series Aim: To help the kids understand why and how we give to God, and what is tithe.

Week 1 (26th June 2022) 

Big Point: Give Because Everything Belongs to God

God’s Word: Cain and Abel’s offering (Genesis 4:1-7)

Memory Verse: “A tenth of everything the land produces belongs to the Lord. That includes grain from the soil and fruit from the trees. It is holy. It is set apart for him.” Leviticus 27:30 (NIRV)

Application: I can give, knowing everything belongs to God.
